MyShout is an application to alert family and friends during an emergency. It is also an app for family and friends to communicate and stay connected through its chat platform and safe check-in features. Photos and voice messages can be exchanged through the chat platform.

A mobile phone to download the app is all that you need to use it.

An emergency alert could be an accident, kidnapping, or robbery. When you click on any of the three buttons, an alert message along with your location will be sent to the people that you designated in your MyShout account to receive your alert messages.

The Record MyShout Alert button allows you to send a five-second audio record to the people that you designated in your MyShout account to receive your alert messages during a kidnapping situation. The five-second audio record will be accompanied and sent along with your location or your last known location.

Go to the Friends section, click on Invite Friends To MyShout button, and enter your friend’s phone number including the country code or select the country code from the list.

No, your security Pin is needed. For anyone to add you as a friend, he or she must have your security pin, without your security pin, no person can add you as a friend, which is the first layer of security for protection and safety.

No. Someone can request for you to be added as his or her friend with your security ID. However, the app will send you an alert message for you to approve. This is your second layer of security for protection and safety.

You will download the app on your new phone device and reactivate your MyShout account on your new phone number.

If you have your email activated in your MyShout account, you will be able to reactivate your MyShout account on another mobile phone device. Get a new mobile device and a new phone number. Download the app on your new mobile device, activate your MyShout account, and update your new phone number.

Download the app and follow and sign on with your user id, the app will detect if you are using a new phone number. It will send a code verification to your email if you have your email activated in your MyShout account. You will not be able to reactivate your account should you lose your phone number and without your email account as a backup for code verification. In that case, you will need to create a new account.

No. Your MyShout account can only be associated with one phone number at a time for efficient communications with your family and friends.
